Zetland Court

Originally built in the 1840s, Zetland Court is set amongst landscape gardens, just a short walk away from the sandy beaches in Bournemouth. The Home provides residential care and nursing support. Zetland Court also has a dedicated Dementia Support House and, in total, the Home can support up to 71 residents.

Life at Zetland Court

If you choose to live at Zetland Court, you can benefit from beautiful grounds with a quiet area to sit and enjoy the smell of the flowers, as well as a bar and shop.

The Dementia Support House has its own sensory garden and sensory room, Magic Table, memory boxes, tablets and laptops to support communication and engagement. There are also plans to develop the dementia area further, to create a community hub for people living with dementia.

Regular on-site activities include handicrafts, quizzes, exercise classes, bingo, sing-a-longs, pamper sessions and drinks' mornings. There are also regular visits from local pre-schools, musicians, singers and Zumba classes.

Access to external activities and services using the Home's minibus including day trips to the beach and other places of interest.

Staffing

Zetland Court can support up to 39 people in the residential area of the Home. They have seven experienced carers during the day and four carers at night, who are supervised by a Shift Leader.

In Zetland Court's Dementia Support House, they can care for up to 18 people with six carers on duty during the day and two carers at night, with the Shift Leader supporting at night.

Most of their care staff have achieved, or are working towards an NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care. The Deputy Manager is also their Clinical Lead Nurse, who supports the team in providing safe and effective care to residents.
