1266 and friends celebrate 300 years in style

The lodge of Honour and Friendship lodge, along with our daughter lodge Bleckley Clark, marked the 300 annoversary of freemasonry with a rare march through the streets of Blandford in full regalia. The lodges were joined by guests and friends from accross freemasonry and were honoured to be joined by the Provincial Grand Master and the rest of the provincial team. Over 100 members in total were present!

This was the first time in nearly 100 years that Dorset masons had marched in public, the last time was to commemorate the fallen from WW1.

The brethen marched to the corn exchange in the town centre and a live initiation was carried out by the Provincial Grand Master. The candidate is the father of one of our members, so it was a very special and unique event.

Thanks must go to everyone who assisted in making this event so special, special thanks should go to WBro Mark Hinsley for making this a reality.
