Masonic Charitable Foundation Grant to Lewis Manning Hospice

In recognition of a grant from the Masonic Charitable Foundation, Matt Devereux (Provincial Grand Charity Steward) visited Lewis Manning Hospice to present an Award Certificate.

For 25 years, Lewis-Manning Hospice has given local people with life-limiting illnesses the choice to live their lives right up to the last moment. They do this by providing the best possible care in a beautiful setting overlooking Poole Harbour.

They take the time to care for patients and their families, offering personal support from diagnosis to end of life. Being diagnosed with a life-limiting condition can be frightening and overwhelming for patients and their families. The Hospice believes everyone should have the help they need when they need it most. No one should have to face their last days alone.

Receiving the certificate, the senior nursing staff commented that the significant, ongoing support from the Masonic Charitable Foundation is greatly appreciated.

'This year the MCF award of £1,580 pays for 580 delicious home cooked meals for a patient in our End of Life care unit. Food and taste are often the very last pleasure that people have at the end of life. It's a simple luxury that we can give to people.'
