For Province P0060 - Province of Dorset.
To celebrate 300 years of Freemasonry in England, members across the UK have joined with Dorset masons to offer over 200 deserving young people the experience of a lifetime involving sports, adventure, land and water based activities at a professionally run holiday centre.
The scheme uses the outstanding facilities at PGL 'Parents Get Lost' Limited, the largest operator of holiday courses for children in the UK. PGL have catered for over eight million young people at specialist centres in the UK, France and Spain since 1957.
The Osmington Bay Centre has been selected for this project. Situated at the heart of the historic Jurassic Coast overlooking Weymouth Bay, it has spectacular views reaching from the Isle of Wight to Portland Bill.
Daily activities will range from abseiling, giant swings, high wires and raft building to beach discovery walks and dragon boat racing. Evening activities include games and musical sessions as well as suitable entertainment.
This initiative, as well as being a fitting celebration of a landmark anniversary, affirms once again that 'Dorset Freemasonry Cares' and is active in the local community.
