Red Cross of Constantine and Craft work together to support EDAS.

Dorset Freemasons joined together in a 'cross order' initiative to donate to a 'recovery cafe' run by the Essential Drugs & Alcohol Service (EDAS) EDAS Better Together in Poole.

The Serenitea EDAS cafe on Ashley Road, Poole provides an alcohol-free social environment for people in recovery, as well as members of the public. Members of Lodges. Meridian and St Aldhelms at Branksome, Magnaura Conclave of the Red Cross of Constantine and the Provincial Grand Masters Discretionary Fund joined together to fund an information system which will allow the cafe to widen the services it provides.

Mark Burstow, Communication Officer for Dorset Freemasonry (representing The Craft) and Lionel Turner of Magnaura Conclave visited the cafe to find out more about its work.

Mark said 'Its a great pleasure to represent our Brethren here at Serenitea EDAS and find out about the great work they do. A key element of our activities as Freemasons is to play an active part in. our communities and support charitable activities such as these. The support that Serenitea will offer is invaluable helping individuals to cope whilst on their path to recovery'
