£12,000 Grant to Dorset Youth Association

Children and vulnerable families in Dorset will benefit from the continuation of Dorset Youth Association's services thanks to a £12,000 grant from Dorset Freemasons.

The charity, which aims to improve the quality of life for children, young people and families, offers support to a network of 69 youth clubs and vital services for 300 families in their homes and communities. This includes teaching parenting skills, behavioural support, improving school attendance, and setting morning and evening family routines.

The grant from Dorset Freemasons comes through the Masonic Charitable Foundation, which is funded by Freemasons, their families, and friends from across England and Wales.

Dave Thompson, the Chief Executive of the Dorset Youth Association said:?'We're very grateful to Dorset Freemasons for their generous grant, it will make a major difference to our ability to help the children, young people, and families in Dorset who need it most.'

Peter Boyd, Charity Steward of Dorset Freemasons said:?'We're proud to have supported Dorset Youth Association in their hugely important work in improving the lives of families across the county. Their programmes will help hundreds of vulnerable young people and their families in Dorset.'
